Firefox just updated a few days ago to version 149.0. Prior to, no issues. Now every time I enter a search term and hit enter. A new tab opens and the page is blank. It only happened after the update. Closing the tab and doing the same thing again opens a new page correctly.

Running Firefox 149.0.2 (64-bit) on MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with Catalina (10.15.9).

I was in the process of updating a non-profit's website and had opened the html file on my computer. I noticed that the "y" (lower case) was missing from the days of the week. I checked the RUNNING website and saw the same thing. Checked he same website with Safari and the "y" suddenly appeared. Okay, so I then tried to add another "y" somewhere else on that page and ... nothing, so on a whim I added a "Y" to my Mac's file and guess what? It upper case Y displayed. Also noticed that on some web pages instead of showing me the characters in some words, it substitutes "ddddddd" for some words. What's up?

Some users are abandoning Firefox because of the difficulty of protecting against Firefox fingerprinting. Therefore, I strongly recommend adding an option in the settings that allows the digital fingerprints to be made random, or at least, if it is difficult, to make the fingerprints indistinguishable. When I first install an extension, there is an option to pin that extension icon to the Firefox taskbar. But if I later unpin it, then I can never repin it back to the taskbar. In older editions of Firefox, long ago, there were ships wheel icons next to the extensions in the extension list. There was choice to "pin to the taskbar", but now there are no ship's wheel icons in the list. And therefore no way to repin the extension to the taskbar. Therefore, once I unpin an extension icon from the taskbar, I have no way to pin it back up there.

the go back to previous page shortcut is annoying and it kept messing with my work and I want to disable it I use touchpad and accidentally goes back to previous page all the time and sometimes I have to redo my unsaved work because of this. Please disable this arrow in a blue circle thing

The shortcut change feature in Firefox does not have an option to disable CTRL+SHIFT+S shortcut function that saves the screen. Is it possible to disable tor change the shortcut. Very frustrating. Thank you.

Hi, I recently started using Firefox's beta built-in VPN and look forward to the protection it will provide. One small problem... every time I close Firefox, the VPN deactivates, requiring me to manually activate the VPN. How do I set VPN to remain active all the time? Thanks for your support. Stay well.

Since quite a while Firefox is trying to enhance our browsing security by "upgrading" connections from "http" to "https." This may generally be a good idea, but it is literally driving me crazy at the moment because it also does so for "internal" sites I host within my LAN (such as my "Home Assistant" instance or a Zigbee coordinator, accessible via its own hostname and web UI). However, these connections will fail, because I don't have certificates for my internal hosts, and thus there is no "https" listener. :-(

(I use my own subdomain "<host>.city.internal.example.org" internally, so Firefox may be confused?)

I feel this behavior has become "more aggressive" within the last few days, so maybe it is due to a Firefox update?

Is there a bullet-proof way to prevent Firefox from doing so?

I'd like to know how to hide the previews for vertical tabs in Firefox. I've already unchecked the "Show preview image when hovering over tabs" option in the settings. Is it impossible to hide them?
